DAY 15 FRIDAY 07/05/10

Nearly there...
7th May 2010 2245hrs BST (2045 hrs local)

29 miles done today. We are having an early break now – food and a bit of sleep then getting up at 2am this morning while it’s still cold and there is less melt water. We both got really sore today- our feet starting to suffer- even Ian's mutant ones .

Ben and Ian have had reports of melt water making the descent off the icecap a slow and arduous process. They are catching up on some rest and food ready to start the next 9 miles descent more rested and in colder weather hoping to achieve the optimum conditions possible with this warm weather. Depending on how long this vital section of the expedition takes depends on whether they will make camp again before the final run down to the coast line.
